When I first started viewing porn online, I did what every other teenage boy without a credit card did; I looked for previews. Those free pages put out by the leading websites with maybe 15 or so images on them; they were my quota. Occasionally, the previews would include movies, but because my Net connection was slow and storing content on the computer was a no-no, I rarely downloaded them. As a result, practically all my experience with porn came via the still image and I built up something of a fondness for the medium. Sure, movies were nice and all, but you could look at an image sans the insane German grunting or (slightly) less insane girly screams you'd get in an mpeg. There was no pre-school written dialogue to worry about either which is always a plus.

The trouble with this nowadays is that broadband has made watching movies, even full length sets, that much more accessible. I can download a half-hour, professionally shot, well lit, hardcore set in less time that it used to take to download a dodgy copy of Livin on a Prayer off Napster. Because of this, movies are much more common on preview pages than they used to be, and so I was pretty surprised to see upon entering Dream Babes that there are no movies in the site at all. None. Nada. Nul, and it's almost the same for the other six sites you get access to (with the obvious exception of Babes on Film).

Instead, site producers Dollars 4 Babes have stuck with old school thinking and just offered up images. Thousands of them. Maybe even tens of thousands (they claim 250,000 but unfortunately I lost count halfway through), and the quality both of the girls and the images (usually 678x1024) is impressive. There are hardcore sets, lesbian sets, group sets, solo sets, and though beauty is always in the eye of the one paying the bill, I'd be surprised if anyone ran into many girls here they found unattractive.

The trouble is that no one behind Dream Babes has tried very hard. The photo sets aren't exclusive, there's no search feature or categorization of girls and sets, downloading sets as a ZIP is only offered on some and its very, very hard to get past the fact that there are no videos offered. Even I was pining for some outrageous squealing after viewing some of the harder sets; heck, I'd have settled for an audio track to go along with the images.

What Dream Babes tries to do, it does pretty well. The problem in a nutshell is that it doesn't set its sights particularly high and because the content is recognizably from other sites, it often feels more like a trial session than a real membership.

That being said, the membership here is small, so you basically get what you pay for. If your wallet size allows you to pay more, then do so and you'll be happier for it, but for anyone whose finances might prove to be tricky, this is a good cheap site if you're prepared to forgo movies. In essence, you get what you pay for, and given that you can see a number of Kyla Cole, Crissy Moran, Dana Woodward and other assorted who's-who sets on Sexy Babes which you also get access to, you're really getting something of a bargain. Despite regular updates though, I don't think this is a site you'll stick with for many months.
