To be honest, I was underwhelmed when I first logged onto Karups Hometown Amateurs. Karup is a well known name in the porn circuit and given that this site was one of the first places we saw people like Dani Woodward of My Sisters Hot Friend and Karen Dreams, recently seen on Karen Loves Kate, I expected a lot.

I expected more after I'd seen the front page. Karups HA has been going since 2002, so it's no surprise that they've got quite a sack of content, but even I was surprised to see them advertise over half a million photos and videos, many of which are exclusive. I expected even more when before I could even find the login button I had to scroll past five separate previews of recent updates. When I finally reached the promised land, however?

Well, I was underwhelmed. It's not that anything strikes you as bad once you're in, simply that things seem a little normal for such a big site. The menu to the left offers you different gallery options (their only categories are athletic amateurs, ethnic amateurs, outdoor amateurs, toying amateurs and hardcore amateurs), but you have to scroll past an ad for their latest sister site, Karups Older Women, before you can even see the thumbnails of recent image and movie updates. As I've said twice now, underwhelming, and the story doesn't get better when you go deeper. Unless you're browsing a specific category, there's no way of knowing if the set you click on will have hardcore, lesbian, toying or anything else extra-ordinary beyond the evidence presented in the small image itself. Once you reach the galleries, little improves in the way of web design, but luckily, this is where things start to rise (literally).

The content, so long as you're happy with faux young amateurs, is very good and even if you do nothing else for days, you'll have a very, very hard time getting through it all. Unlike sites like Euro Babez, there are few instances where galleries are made larger by having six different images of the exact same pose, and there's clear progression throughout so it's easy to judge how far to skip ahead if you want to get to the meat. Content-wise, there's a plentiful amount of both softcore and hardcore, with girls looks ranging from average to beautiful and even experienced viewers will find beauties they never knew of before, so it's a big five-star splash once you're in.

The movies aren't the largest in the world, especially given that Broadband is allowing sites to post bigger and longer sets than ever before, but they tend to be well made even if the 'stories' are the same sub-par crap we've come to know and love in our pornography. "Honey, want a foursome?" "Sure, babe!"

Beyond the unglossed veneer, the site offers most of what you expect these days. You can download the well-sized galleries in a single ZIP, and though downloading movies isn't specifically offered, it's easy enough to right click and Save Target As. The biggest problem in this department is that though neither particularly long or large, many of the movies can't be downloaded or streamed in a single go, and there's nothing more annoying than having to stop and switch over in the middle of the action.

Karups Hometown Amateurs makes its biggest error right at the start by offering a site that stands out as much as a redneck at a Republican convention, but don't be fooled by the non-descript surface. Whether you're looking for a collection of general amateurs, or just want to see a favourite porn-star before she was famous, this could be the site for you. It's very, very large and though personally I'd stick with Nubiles Net for young amateurs, the advanced content on here will make it more attractive for some. If you really need lesbians and hardcore in your life, choose this.
